Hi.  I’m Lynn, the co-owner of Your Groovy Gifts with my husband Richard.

I’ve done all types of crafts most of my life.  My mother sewed our clothes, so sewing was the first craft I learned.  I had a toy sewing machine, but I was eager to try my mom’s machine.  The first thing I sewed on her electric sewing machine was my thumb.  I didn’t realize how much faster that machine was than my little one.  But that experience didn’t stop me.

I grew up in the mid-century modern period.  Crafts were very popular during that time.  I learned all of them such as crewel, knitting, crocheting, dipped wire flowers and macrame.  When my husband Richard and I got married, I sold crocheted purses and puppets and macrame Christmas wreaths at craft shows.  In the 80’s, we both went into the home construction business.  We enjoyed the creativity of helping buyers design their dream homes.  And now that we are nearing retirement, it is only fitting that we should return to the innovative atmosphere of craft shows.

We create and sell mid-century modern handmade gifts as well as toys and 3D items that Richard prints.  This mid-century era was a fun and colorful period that featured a large variety of crafts.  This allows us to present our product line in totality, from the design and creation to the packaging and marketing and sales.  This variety gives buyers a wide choice of specially crafted items to choose from.  And we love talking to people.  That’s what makes this business enjoyable.
